Collection policy
The Edo-Tokyo Museum, which opened in March 1993, has actively collected, preserved, and managed materials related to the history, daily life and folk customs, and culture and arts of Edo-Tokyo as a specialized museum of urban history. It utilizes these diverse museum materials for purposes such as exhibitions, studies and research, and educational outreach.
The "Edo-Tokyo Museum Digital" section introduces the museum's collection of museum materials.
The "Tokyo Museum Collection (Tokyo Metropolitan Museums / Art Museums Collection Search)" allows you to search across the collections of six metropolitan museums and art museums, including us.
