This exhibition will feature items acquired by the Edo-Tokyo Museum in 2016 and 2017. Of particular interest are some rare documents related to the famous place in Edo era, Kameido Umeyashiki, being publicly displayed for the first time. Visitors will also find tea utensils from tea master Yamagishi Kaisui, the individual behind the teahouse Kaisuian, which was moved to its new home at the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum.
